Welcome to the world of bowling
Bowling is fun. Bowling is a sport. Bowling is an investment opportunity.
Bowling is popular and most of us have tried it sometime. It is the perfect place for corporate events or family gatherings and a great opportunity to spend time with friends or family. Bowling is also a modern sport in which Czech players have been celebrating success in European and world tournaments in recent years.
In Prague, the demand for bowling exceeds the capacity of existing bowling alleys. Prague lacks a large bowling centre that would combine fun and sport. Bowling is thus becoming an investment opportunity that can link bowling with other sports or entertainment activities.

Bowling in Prague
Prague at the tail end of Europe
In European countries, centres with twenty, thirty or more lanes are common in large cities. In the Czech Republic, the largest bowling centre is in Brno, which has twenty lanes. Prague currently has the only relatively larger centre with twelve lanes in Prosek and several other small centres, and this is very small for a capital city.
Public demand, especially in the afternoon and evening, exceeds the capacity of the existing bowling centres. After the closure of the bowling hall in shopping mall Zličín at the end of 2023, the space for sports bowlers from Prague and Central Bohemia – both for training and for holding championship or commercial tournaments – has been reduced.
Junior bowling, which has been developing in recent years and the interest in it is growing and brings great prospects for the future, cannot be overlooked.
Bowling brings many opportunities for exploitation:

corporate events

family celebrations and parties for children and adults

spending time with family and friends

sports bowling and tournaments

Bowling is a successful sport with great potential
Successful Czech bowling national team members train and play in Prague and have been winning medals at European and world championships and tournaments in recent years. They contribute to the popularity of bowling as a sport.

Tournaments and leagues for sports and recreational bowlers
Prague hosts tournaments and leagues at many levels – from championship to recreational, for adults and youth. Further development is now hampered by the limited capacity of Prague’s bowling alleys.

Bowling is an investment opportunity in Prague
A bowling arena with a capacity of 24 lanes is an opportunity to build a unique project in the capital . Bowling can be complement with other activities – billiards, darts, table football and others.

In 2001 a new bowling centre, Dolfijn Bowling, was opened in RingbaanOost in Tilburg. The old factory hall housed 20 bowling lanes, a bar and a restaurant. This cosy bowling centre quickly won a place in the hearts of many visitors from Tilburg and the surrounding area. In 2013, a special world was created with Goolfy mini-golf in the dark, which was also a great success. In the summer of 2015, the interior of the bowling centre was thoroughly renovated. With new flooring, sanitary facilities and new furniture, the business was completely ready for the future. However, on Friday, March 25, 2016, disaster struck. A violent fire destroyed the building. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but the bowling center was a total loss. Plans for the new Dolfijn Bowling immediately began to be drawn up, and in June 2017 construction started. The new centre, which was officially opened on 4 February 2018, is more spacious. With 24 bowling lanes, a new Goolfy mini-golf course, a first floor with lots of games and various other activities, it is more than just a bowling centre.
